Project Management Methodology
Our application development projects are managed by Project Management Professionals (PMP). This is a professional
certification awarded by the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org). This approach
includes the phases represented in the following illustration.
Project Management Stages
Stage 1: Initiation
During this stage, a project charter is developed and key stakeholders and risks are identified.
A preliminary schedule and budget are developed at the conclusion of this stage.
Stage 2: Planning
This stage involves finalizing the project scope and developing a detailed schedule and work
breakdown structure. Costs and risks are further clarified.
Stage 3: Execution
The Execution stage involves executing the core volume of work associated with the project.
This involves weekly or monthly status reports. Any changes to the project cost or scope
must be reviewed and approved. If necessary revised schedules are produced based on approved changes.
Stage 4: Closure
During the final stage of the project, the client accepts the final deliverable and all purchase
orders and contracts are closed out.
